Doro Headrest System

Doro has developped a new improved cranial stabilization system. Backed by many years of experience in the area of neurosurgery, we were able to integrate modifications in the clinical application of such systems into the development of a new system.

This new system combines proven technology and new technical solutions to improve precision and handling.

The result is the DORO® Headrest System:

Superior stability and safety for the benefit of the patient.

Modular conception
The modular DORO Headrest System is designed for both invasive and non-invasive applications in head and neck surgery. It can be adapted to all standard operating tables.

Doro Headrest System

1. Base Unit

The DORO® Base Unit can be used with all standard operating tables. The brackets and connecting tube are adjusted during installation. The mechanical design of the base handle assembly has been completely modified in order to eliminate the typical problems often encountered with existing systems. The new design
prevents damage to the cast housing or to the rod in the unit due to incorrect handling of the mechanical components and also eliminates the danger of inadvertent opening of the mechanical system during surgery.

2. Cross Bars

This component allows you to use the Skull Clamp in applications requiring a sitting position of the patient. It is mounted to the side rails of the operating table. The unit is suitable for all standard operating tables.

3. Skull Clamp Adaptor

The functionality of this component has been improved.

4. Skull Clamp

A modification of the mechanical system for the Skull Pin holder has considerably improved the stability of the Skull Clamp as compared to the conventional systems.

Since navigation systems are increasingly used in surgery, this is of particular importance. Other systems do not meet these requirements.

5. The Multi Purpose Skull Clamp

The Multi Purpose Skull Clamp allows an invasive as well as an non-invasive fixation of the patient's head. Skull pins and a range of elastic pads can be adapted to the fixation carriers in a modular way. Suitable for children and adults.

6. The Head Support

The Head Support represents an additional component of the DORO Headrest System. It can be adjusted in all planes to bring the pads of skull pins in the desired position. This device makes the patient handling and care much easier and is providing additional safety beside the 3-point fixation of the skull clamp.

7. Non-invasive horseshoe headrest

This component is used instead of the invasive Skull Clamp. Versions for children and adults are available. Elastic pads are providing the best possible pressure relief.

8. Gel Head Rest for OR-Tables

Gel Headrests and Gel Head Rings are available in different sizes and forms. They savely protect head, neck, face and ears during surgery.

Summary

The new DORO® Headrest System offers the decisive advantages and improvements in terms of system stability, handling and design.

PMI, a company located in Freiburg, Germany, is the manufacturer of DORO® and markets the system on a world-wide basis.

We offer a repair and maintenance service for our own systems and for third-party products.

Doro Bipolar Forceps

DORO® NON-STICK Bipolar Forceps are forceps with unique solid noble silver tips. Not a coating. This provides high thermal diffusivity to minimize sticking and charring of tissue. Uses lower power setting. The non-stick properties are retained for the lifetime of the DORO® NON-STICK Bipolar Forceps.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR DORO® NON-STICK Bipolar Forceps
Customized DORO® NON-STICK Bipolar Forceps are produced to match your distinct needs. Forceps length, tip width, tip length as well as tip and tine angulation can be customized. Please contact us or your DORO® Representative for more details.
